Silver Jewellery
Whether you’re looking for a ring for a special occasion, earrings for a friend or a chunky bangle to accessories an outfit, you’ll find just what you’re looking for here. All items are made in either sterling silver or argentium silver, both of which are hallmarked where appropriate. Argentium is a newly developed alloy of silver which is made tarnish resistant by the addition of germanium. This type of silver is taking the jewellery world by storm and is the silver of the future.
Some of the techniques used are piercing, forging, soldering, pressing, mill-pressing and manipulation.
Some of the silver pieces are enhanced by the addition of gold highlights.
Gold Jewellery
Most of the jewellery can also be made in gold. Please enquire about commissioning gold jewellery.
Enamel Jewellery
I like to use many different enamelling techniques when creating my jewellery, such as champlevé, painting and sifting. In many cases I like to carve the silver beneath the enamel to give depth and contours. The pieces are then fired in a kiln or sometimes torch fired. I love to experiment with colours and sometimes use enamel on copper.
Aluminium Jewellery
Aluminium becomes anodised when it is inserted into acid and an electrical current is passed through it. This makes the surface porous and enables it to accept colour. The special inks and dyes are applied by using various different printing methods, ie screen printing, lino printing etc. These colours are sealed into the metal and become colourfast. The aluminium is then used to form these very colourful cuffs.
